How much water does the Calathea Orbifolia - 40cm need?
The potting soil of the Calathea Orbifolia can be kept slightly moist on a regular basis, but be careful not to overwater the plant. Excess water can collect at the bottom of the pot around the roots and cause root rot.
That's why we recommend feeling the soil before every watering. Is it still moist from last time? Then wait a little longer.
It's also a good idea to mist the leaves regularly with a plant sprayer. That keeps the humidity around the plant high.

The Calathea Orbifolia originally grows in the tropics of South America and the Amazon region, in the shade of large trees. That's why the plant doesn't tolerate too much (direct) light and prefers a shady spot in your home too.
