Product Description
The Yucca Linearifolia garden plant - 70 cm is an elegant yucca with a sphere of hundreds of very narrow, blue-green leaves. Where many yuccas look coarse, this species has a fine, almost grass-like appearance. The plant originally comes from the dry mountains of Mexico, which makes it strong and properly hardy.
At 70 cm this is a compact size that fits on the balcony, the patio or in a rock garden. Place it in a nice pot next to the front door or plant several in a group. Combine it with grasses, lavender or other Mediterranean plants for a southern atmosphere. You will find even more greenery for outdoors among our outdoor plants.
Care and tips for the Yucca Linearifolia garden plant - 70 cm
Plant it in sandy, well-draining soil or give it a roomy pot with a generous drainage layer of gravel or clay pebbles; among our outdoor pots and baskets you will find a suitable model. Preferably use potting soil for cacti or Mediterranean plants, mixed with some extra sand. It hardly needs feeding: an organic garden fertiliser in spring is enough. The Yucca Linearifolia copes well with cold as long as the soil stays dry. If it is in a pot, place it on pot feet in winter and preferably under a canopy or against a sheltered wall.
Water needs of the Yucca Linearifolia garden plant - 70 cm
This drought lover needs little water. During the growing season, water about once or twice a week, and only when the soil is properly dry. A plant in a pot dries out faster than one in the ground, so check the pot a little more often in warm spells. In winter it needs hardly any water. Never let water stand in the saucer, because wet roots are the biggest risk for this plant.
Light needs of the Yucca Linearifolia garden plant - 70 cm
Give it the sunniest spot you have, ideally facing south or west. In full sun the plant stays compact and the leaves get their best colour. It also grows in partial shade, but a bit more slowly and less full.
Is the Yucca Linearifolia garden plant - 70 cm toxic?
The Yucca Linearifolia is mildly toxic if ingested. Keep it out of reach of pets and young children.
How is my Yucca Linearifolia garden plant - 70 cm shipped?
Your plant is delivered in a nursery pot and carefully packed for shipping. That way it arrives safely and fresh from the grower.
