Little Wout S is hugely popular! The smallest brother of our Wout family. These green powerhouses fly out of the greenhouse and we can see why. Wout is the green superhero for every home. Wout, the Pachira Aquatica, earned the nickname "money tree" because this plant symbolises financial prosperity and good fortune in Eastern tradition. The Pachira originally comes from the swamps of Costa Rica, eastern Brazil and Panama.
Care & tips for the Wout S - 30cm
Wout is a very easy houseplant when it comes to care. Give him a good splash of water once every 3 weeks. In winter the Pachira will appreciate a regular misting. The humidity in the room is lower in winter, which makes things a little dry for the Pachira.
How much water does the Wout S - 30cm need?
Give little Wout a good splash of water once every 3 weeks. Wout can use an extra cup of water now and then when:
- The heating is on a lot
- Wout gets a lot of sun
- The air conditioning is often on
- The air is dry
How much light does the Wout S - 30cm need?
Wout needs at least 3 to 5 hours of sunlight a day, although the Pachira doesn't cope well with harsh sun. So give your little tree a spot in bright indirect light. If the green houseplant grows very quickly but with little foliage, it's in a spot that's too dark. Make sure the Pachira gets a bit more light in that case.
Is the Wout S - 30cm toxic?
The Pachira Aquatica isn't known as a toxic plant. That said, we can't guarantee that every pet or person will react well to eating Wout's leaves (there are countries where Pachira leaves are cooked and eaten, but we'd advise against it).
How is my Wout S - 30cm shipped?
This large houseplant is delivered in a nursery pot. All our houseplants are shipped in boxes we designed ourselves: a snug inner fitting keeps the plant firmly in place so it can't shift in transit. Plants don't mind a day in a dark box, so your green friend arrives home in perfect condition.
